Internet Marketing – Discover Why people who brand themselves can succeed while others fail

Brand yourself. Establish “You, Inc.”. Shoppers make buying decisions on the internet the same way they do at the local department store: they look for a brand they recognize and trust. In the internet attraction marketing business, you want to be that brand. You must make sure that you stand out from others who may offer the same service or product. If you study successful marketers, you will note this is the one skill they consistently demonstrate. The internet market is like the crowded shelf at that department store: you are competing for attention with other entrepreneurs, and you will have the advantage only when the customer knows that what you offer is genuine.

The mantra of successful entrepreneurs is to develop “You, Inc.” Brand yourself so that you are sure to stand out in a crowd. Start building “You, Inc.” from day one, following your passions, your values and your interests. Branding yourself is important, but it’s also important to be authentic.

Recently I had the opportunity to talk with Ty Tribble. This man is the world’s topmost network marketing blogger and among the top 100 bloggers worldwide for small business. This expert reminded me that being yourself is important. A great way to brand yourself is to give value, put yourself into your business, put your pride in everything you do and have a genuine desire to provide a great product or top-notch service. When you are true to your dream then you will be unique; no one can duplicate your individual character. Genuine over fake and sincere over phony is treasured everywhere and the internet is no different.

That same message was echoed by Mike Klingler, the founder and co-owner of Renegade Professional – along with Ann Sieg. Mike told me that he advises all smart beginners to take some time for introspection. Recognize that you are a person of value who has a lot to contribute to any business enterprise. As a person of integrity, you naturally attract people to you when you try to help them solve their problems.

The internet is huge, with millions of people clamoring for attention. If you want any of that attention, you need to separate yourself from everyone else. Take some time to assess your strengths and weaknesses and determine what makes you unique.

If you brand yourself using these as principles that emanate from YOU, people will want to do business with you. Integrity and authenticity are valuable and rare in this world, and if that is the perception that customers have of you, it will make your business boom. It is easier to work hard, to make good decisions and outlast the competition if you are enjoying what you do and truly believe in it. Beliefs and character are not things you can manufacture or purchase. They are the source of your vision for yourself, and your creativity.

Rich Schefren (Internet Marketing guru) has said, “It’s often better to be different, than it is to be better.” This is especially true in online marketing where so many are following a cookie cutter approach to building a business. What makes you different and unique? It’s all about capturing – and keeping – other people’s attention. So don’t do things simply because other people are being successful doing that thing. Think about how you can add a unique spin to the product or service. Examine it closely to see what is lacking. Then you add that aspect. In the process you brand yourself as an expert and as the go-to person in your niche. Believe me, people will seek you out.

His words were “fall in love” with those who are actually using your product or service. They are what will make your business work, if you develop a relationship with them. Be there for them when they need you, and they will not forget you.
