Do not go here under any circumstances!!! Bait and switch and unethical billing practices.I called and set up an appointment for my husband last summer to have some moles looked at and removed. I asked multiple times and was reassured that he could have up to 10 moles removed in one appointment and that the cost would be the same whether it was 1 or 10.
*The doctor didn’t even see him, the physicians assistant did the removals and left some of the mole.Fast forward a few weeks later and we’re bombarded with bills! The first bill was for the removal of the moles and to our surprise, he was charged individually for each mole removal! Had we known this, we would have left some that were cosmetic removal only.
Then a few weeks later we get another bill for $1000! WTF? Firstly, it wasn’t even through our network despite the fact that our doctor was in network. It turns out, instead of using one of the local labs that’s covered,
they sent it out of state to a lab that’s under the Doctors name and charged us full price… bait and switch and super unethical IMO. We’ve been making calls every single week doing everything we could to dispute the bills with the office
as well as the insurance and have made minimal progress because the doctor’s office refuses to admit any fault.Researching the codes, these tests are usually negotiated down to $40 each, yet we’re being charged $200 per test!
Find another doctor or record every conversation you have with the doctor and tell them exactly what in-network lab you want the tests sent to.
