Glenbrook Hospital

Worst experience of my life: I brought my father into Glenbrook Hospital during the evening hours. And while he was very sick, fighting pancreatic cancer, he had more than enough strength to walk in on his own. I left him there that evening planning on returning early the next morning.

This proved to be the biggest mistake of my life, and I will never forgive myself for not staying the night with him. That being said, during the early morning hours I get a call from Glenbrook telling me my father has taken a turn for the worse. I immediately drove there and what I found was horrifying.

My first impression was that he appeared to have been subject to enormous trauma. First of all, I noticed that there were straps hanging from the bed used to tie my father down, all 100 pounds of a man that could not fight of a 9 year old. They told me they had to tie him to give him a sedative.

It appeared to me that he had been severely man handled. My father was totally incoherent at this time. I proceeded to examine him much closer, and realized I could not move his lift leg; it appeared as though it had been broken.

Moreover, what ever they gave my father, he never woke up from it. When I left my father he was walking and talking, then several hours latter he’s totally unresponsive. Glenbrook Hospital took away the precious moments I could have spent with my father to say goodbye. As far as I’m concerned they prematurely murdered my father.

What was ever more concerning, during this very emotional time, there were NO doctors to be found. They were hiding – so cowardly. I could not find any one to answer questions or take any accountability.

I was so distraught at they time I couldn’t think straight. In hindsight, I should have been more forceful with the doctors to get an explanation on what really happen and possible legal action for male practice and incompetence.

For those of you out there, I would not trust any love one with these incompetent people. And if you must, what ever you do, don’t leave their side if you truly care for them and love them. I wouldn’t trust these people with my dog.
