We were patients here for a few years at the Bear location… We saw Dr Boyland and while we appreciated his thorough exams and explanations on our concerns/questions. He, and the office staff all failed at the reason I need an EYE doctor.
Suffering with some aliments which makes “normal lighting” for most, quite PAINFUL for me I from time to time require a note from the eye doctor asking my employer to make simple, free & necessary modifications to my work station (read- simply making sure blinds are closed so I can physically see my computer and papers and simply do my job while not bring on other aliments caused by excessive lighting for me).
I was told via the front desk that NO, he won’t write that letter and he won’t for any patient, under any circumstances. I could NOT believe it. That is a part of the reason I have to go to the doctor and spent the money to do so. THIS IS IN THEIR JOB DESCRIPTION. From what I gather, he won’t do it “because it would take too much time”?!?!?!? There is a thing called a form letter that you can edit for specifics. REALLY BOYLAND?
I gave Halpern which had just switched over to being bought into by MyEyeDoctor my money, all for nothing. I talked to several people who suggested I call Rachel, their office manager all to no avail. No one bothered following up along the way, I always kept calling in. Clearly they didn’t care nor want to deal with me.
So, I hope I can save ANYONE the trouble….if you want to have trust in your doctor and their staff and that they will serve YOU! Don’t waste your time going to them. I switched Eye Doctors and have never been happier. I had my doctor’s note that was required and new exam all same day… no hassle. Do your self a favor, forget about going here and supporting a business that won’t care for you. I truly hope this review helps others make a wise decision for their own health & self.
