They are the worse! I’m not saying all the nurses are bad. My wife had back surgery, and after the pain meds from the O.R. wore off she was in misery. The nurses gave what the Dr. prescribed, they worked very little. But when my wife who is tough as nails cry’s all night from pain and can not get comfortable, get rest or sleep, SOMETHING IS WRONG! They can not get her pain under control.
Nobody would make a decision on her pain meds without pain management seeing her. Pain Management Dr. came in yesterday and talked to the both of us, and he agreed that her meds need to be changed, so he did, and told the nurses. A DAY LATER still the same, they say they are still waiting on approval. FROM WHO? GOD? Isn’t this a form of abuse? Cruelty to a human being? Is this what it has come down to, Politicians and public opinion dictate when and if people get pain medication!
Plus Pre-op and floor nurses and techs get mad at us because they can hardly speak or understand English language! They get mad at us!!!! And a tech who uses her as a pin cushion because she does not know how to put in a IV. 6 TIMES! And on the 6th one she finally got one in the right place. It was so painful and did not work well that they had to change it in the O.R. And ARROGANT doctors and anesthesiologist who treat you like crap.
The anesthesiologist said to us “WHAT DO YOU CARE WHERE HE CUTS YOU. YOU’LL BE ASLEEP”! He really said that to us.The surgeon gets there late, answers our questions, and looks to the O.R. nurses getting ready to take her back and says “Let’s go! Chop Chop! Come on 30 seconds, 20 seconds!” And he was still in street clothes. To bad you have to use one star, because they do not deserve one. I wish I could take the one’s that other’s have given them!
