Phishing Scam from Bangalore California Targeting researchers around the globe

 

My Complaint: Received notification in the name of a reputed journal and asked me to pay the publication charges within a day. Since I know the reputation of the journal, I paid 150 USD without verifying the details. After paying 150 USD, I came to know that the email is a scam and the scammer used email id which is similar to the reputed journal’s email id. After lot of research, I found out that the scammer is running multiple websites to do the scam people in different areas. He is operating from Indian city called Bangalore and his counterpart is living in California, USA. Their fake websites are 1. skycs.org 2. flyccs.com 3.www.petzlover.com 4. www.millioncars.com 5. thirunelveli.com The guy running these scams are Madhiyalagan .T from the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu and living in Bangalore (due to police complaints). His counterpart G.Uthira Madasamy lives in California, USA . Their PayPal is [email protected]. This PayPal id is an US based id.
He steals details of researcher from universities and sends fake paper acceptance phishing email and tricks the authors to send money to his PayPal account.
Asked me to pay the publication charges to his paypal id [email protected].

 

My Demand: Need to be punished. As a student from USA, gone through tough time because of these scammers

Not really. In spite of the review published here, there has been no response from Phishing Scams. Lack of accountability is a major factor in determining trust.
