Progressive Inc. mystery shopper. I was on LinkedIn when I responded to an advertisement for part-time work in my area. Applied via email and received a text acknowledging that I had been accepted. A few days later I received an email stating that I had received my first assignment and that a check for two thousand dollars was in the mail. I was to take the check to my bank, cash it and go buy VanillaOne prepaid Mastercards..four of them for five hundred dollars a piece. Keeping the cards for upcoming assignments. After receiving that email I began investigating the company to see if it was legit or not. BBB has no record, the phone number comes up unknown..seems fishy to me!I do not plan on cashing the check and I wanted to report the suspicious activity.
