rent and live Review

I was looking for a home for my daughter to live in until she got up on her feet. I went on craigslist and found a home that was perfect for my daughter. I tried to contact the person that posted the rental but it said to apply at rentandlive.org. I did so and was contacted through texts and emails. The website looked real and the people I dealt with seemed professional. A contract was emailed to me, I signed it and sent it back to them. They said they were out of town and they would not be able to show me the property. They requested a total of $4,000 which I sent through zelle like they requested. I drove by the home and I was looking at it when the owner of the property walked out of his home. The owner said his home was never up for rent and most likely I have been scammed. Shortly after I realized I had been scammed and lost $4,000/

Never trust websites which offer a shady ‘advocacy package’ to businesses. Search for relevant reviews on Ripoff Report and Pissed Consumer to see more unbiased reviews.
