Job was posted on indeed for an operations manager position pay from 26.50-42 dollars an hour. mike (the “HR manager”) contacted me through email and told me that they would like to proceed with a phone interview. The next day I got a phone call and did the interview, about 10-20 minutes after I was offered the position on a trial basis. Then he got me to download the app telegram because apparently that’s how everyone in the company communicated. The day I was supposed to start, he wouldn’t expect to meet in person and also the number in the website is inactive. He wanted me to go to a Bitcoin atm and transfer 5000 dollars to another company but had to use 5% of my own funds. I thought this was fishy and contacted the bbb, service Ontario and the federal branch of corporations, none of which had information about the company. Mike won’t message me back after asking to meet in person. The address on the website is associated with a company named FLYLINE transportation services inc. which from my research was flagged for scams.
