Received calls 4 days in a row from a private number who left a message as "Brian Maxwell" stating I needed to call 877-878-7619 with a ref# ending in DA. He said he had a package of legal documents that was forwarded to his office….though he left no office/business information! He proceeded to tell me it was time sensitive and failure to reply would force the firm to proceed without my participation. I finally called the phone # provided, which according to Brian was the "firm" that obtained him and I spoke to a "Cynthia Padilla." She told me I owed an Old Navy bill of $3,969.54 but it could be settled by paying $1,510.82. She said she was obtained by the Orion law firm…..but wait, I thought they were the law firm!? Interesting, right. So she emailed a "legal document" that I could "just sign with my finger on my phone" and return to them stating I was going to pay Trover Consulting Firm the $1,510.82. This is a total scam, I never received anything in the mail like she said I did, and claimed that it was all documented. They threatened to contact and or serve me at work which was unnecessary since I was speaking to her on the phone. I contacted my bank/credit card companies to be safe and also reported them for abuse through [email protected] I called "Cynthia" back to tell her I wouldn’t be signing anything and that I knew she was scamming me…..she didn’t want to talk to me anymore.
