On Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, my husband answered the phone….the caller was from TS Heating and Air claiming their company had merged with our heating and air conditioning company…specifically naming Family Air and Heating here in Simi. Since the caller had specifically used the name of our AC company, my husband made an appt. with TS Heating and Air to service our system for Friday, Feb. 23m between the hours of 9 and 11:00 a.m. When he told me what had taken place, I immediately called Family Air to verify….they have NOT merged with any other company.Today, Feb. 23, 2017, Gil Walter, showed up as scheduled. I immediately asked for a business card, which he gave me and asked what the phone number on the card was…he told me it was the office number. I called that number….and Gil, standing on our front porch, answered the phone. There is no Contractor’s License number or business license number on the business card. His truck is a white van…no marking as to the name of any business. We did NOT let him in, and told him his business was false, we were told a lie, and did not want nor need his service. He immediately left and I called our Family Air and Heating owner, Jerry, and told him the name of the company that showed up. Jerry told me this is happening all over….companies claiming falsehoods of merging with other companies.Thank heavens we checked with Family Air and Heating to verify if they had merged…and found out they had not.Be AWARE of fraudulent companies!
