We contacted the seller via Instagram CaneCorsoItalia1. He sent us pictures and video of 2 males corso puppies. We decided on a puppy and he told us we could send him payment via Zelle. Once payment was received he set up transportation as we live in a different state the dog would be flying. We received notification from the shipper Pet Transport Services. They sent us a link with the shipping information. We were on our way to the airport to pick up our puppy when we received an email and a call from the shipper that the dog needed Mortality Life Insurance which was 95% refundable upon receiving the dog. We sent the money through Zelle to the shipper. They said dog would be on the next flight out. Close to arrival time we were notified the dog did not ship as it had a rough flight and was not healthy enough to ship. We were told the airport vet had to examine the dog. We were then told we needed to pay for medical expenses. We were worried about the dog so we paid the vet expenses. The seller told us he would split the cost with us. The last thing that happened was the dog could not board the plane because we needed breeding rights. The seller was contacted and his had expired a few months ago. They told us we could have the breeding rights put in our name which would cost $3,000. We of course had caught on by this point and realized we were emotionally invested in this dog, which does not even exist. The transporter told us if we did not pick up the dog we would be arrested for dog abandonment. They wanted us to send payment to the USDA for the breeding rights. The Zelle account they gave us for payment was to Fai John Daniel email address [email protected]We are looking into how we can get our $3400 back. I hope this does not happen to more people. It is such an awful thing and all we could think about was a sweet little puppy.
