I was working on my laptop and the phone rang. The phone rang and when I answered it the man on the line said that my computer had been infected by a trojan virus and it needed to be repaired immediately. Before I knew it he was sharing my computer screen and making changes on my computer screen in my computer. Somehow he hacked in. At the time he sounded so knowledgeable that I believed him and went along with everything he asked me to do. He said it would take 2 hours and $500.00 to clear the computer of the virus. I gave him my bank account information when he asked for it. After the 2 hours of him working on my computer he had put viruses on it so that I had to hire an IT technician to clean up my computer and get of the virus days later. He sent me some fake contracts with names and numbers that I can mail you. I unfortunately don’t have a scanner to scan the documents. Fortunately, I caught on that the whole thing was a rouse before the two hours were up and I closed the bank account that I gave him the information for. He didn’t get a dime from me. But I did have to pay to have my computer repaired from damage caused.
