I found a vacation rental ad on Craigslist Maui and asked for information about date availability. Once they emailed me back I checked their website, and no properties were listed for Maui. I then clicked on their Facebook link and it went to another businesses Facebook page, a business the already has a scammer alert on. I then asked for a reduced deposit, he agreed, then I asked for a new quote to include the unit number. I googled it and it’s currently for sale. I then called the property that the addressed matched, and they confirmed that it’s a scam.
