Verra Films Review

I received a lengthy email from Carlos Mello with Verra Films saying he wanted to cast me in a PSA commercial for Progressive Insurance. It seemed legit at first glance, but then when I read through it a second time, a bit of the wording seemed off. The address provided on the website is for a Chicago beauty supply store. Google searching the provided phone number didn’t lead anywhere.I responded with a general "thanks for the opportunity" email, giving them no information, and their second email confirmed it was a scam, asking for all my personal information and photos. The bottom line is, when tv/film want to cast you, they call you, so my guard was up from the get-go.
