I was looking for a second job through an online website and came across a job as a mystery shopper. I submitted an online resume and shortly after was contacted via email from said employer. A few days after the initial contact a check was sent to me in my name with a set of instructions. I was instructed to cash the check at my bank and once the check cleared I was instructed to go to an establishment and make a purchase. As I tried to make the purchase I was told that I could not. I then reported back to the employer what happened and told them that I would be reporting them.
